Mega Data Collection
Our mega data collection points are online and open to any registered (free) citizen. This is where citizen science meets consistent application and education. Local fisherman and coastal citizen are sitting on a wealth of ever changing information about the ocean and their coastal regions. We need this information, we cannot protect what we do not understand. Our MDC is accessible to marine scientists and conservationists who are members and to projects who are in desperate need on updated information in their region, the MDC is also open to universities and colleges

Data Fleets & Conservation Diving
Liveaboard holidays are sold at exponentially higher costs than a dive resort or dive holiday. Our trips vary in duration. What we offer divers, is a conservation holiday with incredible dive sites. Operating as a dive operation but with one objective difference, conservation.
The guests will have the opportunity to complete workshops, spend time with our conservation crew, provide us with data and open up a whole new dive experience for them. With a small laboratory, onboard research being conducted and presentations on the “days findings” these guests cannot leave without an altered state of new diving practices and marine conservation efforts.
INITIATIVES
ADOPT A RANGER
Pelagic Wake Global’s ranger program is our first step towards integrating the community, realistically empowering community members and creating work. Our Adopt a Ranger Program is our most important development withing our organisation.
Through donations & sponsorships, specifically allocated to dive courses and training in skills and academics, individuals can adopt a commhjnity member who have applied and has taken to diving, either entirely or phase by phase. The ranger (diver or non -diver) will be educated through our education program the exact same ways as our volunteers, except they are being sponsored to do so. These candidates will also help us build trust in the community and with translations. They will undergo diver training in freedivingand scuba. Our adopted rangers will not only undergo similar training as our volunteers but will be joining us professionally and be provided with the experience they deserve. They’re salaries will be donated through fundraising for six month periods at a time. With this help of funding from the public or private investors a ranger can have an income, become a part of a team, experience time on our liveaboards and prepare themselves to apply for work at other organisations of their choice, thanks to our training. Finally, giving back to the community and generating accountability withing the community, work fulfilment and being able to truly gain from foreign organisations. This project lies close to the founder’s heart. We have one desire only, this desire his now folded into a pledge, a purpose and true goal. And that is to work together with local community and local governments to make coasts and island a better place to their rightly citizens and marine life and biodiversity health. These rangers will be our community hero’s.
Apparel
We are designing apparel specifically for the adventuring, exploring, modern conservationist and diver. Outdoor Apparel made from recycled products and mills sourced ethically. Apparel can also be bought and sponsored to local fishermen, to a school, local community and of course for personal use. Our Apparel will serve as one of our largest marketing tools.
Exporting Materials
One of our most passionate goals are to provide communities not only with “stop plastic” education and our educational beach bins but to provide them with an operating recycling centre. This is inspired and will be based on Precious Plastics’ business initiative. After the waste have been recycled the raw materials will be exported at cost to countries in demand and buying. In time we would want to put a value to waste, there are multiple international examples where individuals can bring waste, weigh it and get paid. With the hope that eventually we, ourselves can use our raw materials to build classrooms, design our own apparel with our own waste and of course, the possibility of more local job creation is something that we are incredibly passionate about.
Memberships and Subscriptions
PWG founder and Communication Chief Officer are collaborating on conservation webinars, short films, conservation journalism from freelance outsourced journalists, bin - annual magazine and impact report. With memberships to PWG and our Magazine, Video’s and Webinars we are capable of having a consistent, steady flow of subscription fees.
Data Hubs and Citizen Science
Our Citizen Science movement lies within our liveaboards and project hubs. Fisherman and coastal communities and divers are consistently in the field and have a wealth of information they have no means to communicate, this data is invaluable. Divers and local fishermen are also consistently in the field and simply by doing their daily tasks can provide us with information necessary to make a larger impact with our marine conservation efforts.
Our liveaboards, open to diving tourism interested in a conservation education and experience serve as our data fleets. Citizen Science and Mega Data Collection points are two of our priorities. With these mass data collection points, we can easily provide consultants, team members, other organizations and local governments with data, who otherwise don’t have the means to consistently collect information. With our data fleets and citizen science project in operation we will be able to predict and prevent rather anticipate and live on a “let’s fix it” mentality.
